‘No limits, she who dares’
Women’s Champion Spirit Triathlon Series 2019
British Professional Triathlete Chantal Cummings has a successful sporting background as part of the GB Junior Rowing Team with a full sweep of National and International titles before making the transition into triathlon.
Sport has always been a passion and played a central role in my life. When I was a teenager I quickly progressed up the ranks of my club rowing and at 15 placed 2nd fastest female in GB Under 18 Trials resulting in selection to race in GB boats. My motivation was to become one of the top athletes in light weight senior rowing but unfortunately a rowing career ending back injury cut that dream short. After my recovery it wasn’t long before I was throwing myself into different sports to try and find one I could compete in at a high level and most importantly of all -enjoy! So along came triathlon and since I competed in my first race I have not looked back. Initially my journey was quite slow and then I started seeing Age Group success, ever getting closer to my aim to once again compete to be one of the best but this time in triathlon. In 2018 I had my first season as a Pro which I carefully balanced alongside a full time job where I managed the transformation of a FINTECH startup into a professionally managed company and ran a small coaching business on the side.
In 2019 I took the leap to full time pro to throw all of my energy into getting the best out of myself as an athlete as I strive to be one of the best on the 70.3/Ironman circuit.
After coming under the guidance of my coach Perry Agass I have seen my performance and progress go from strength to strength
